ESTATE MANAGER REF: VA/UU/002/12/2023

Umma University is a Private Chartered University, located in a serene environment in Kajiado. The University invites suitably qualified, highly competent and self-driven candidates to fill the position of Estate Manager.

QUALIFICATION

• Must have a Master’s degree in the relevant field.
• Must have at least 4 years’ experience in Estate Management Experience at University Level.
• Should demonstrate skills in interpersonal communication, decision-making, organization.
• Familiarity with relevant environmental laws and public health regulations.
• Good computer skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administers approved university plans and policies affecting land use, zoning, public utilities, community facilities, housing and transportation.
• Setting internal environmental standards and procedures.
• Implement schedules for maintenance, staffing and services needed.
• Landscape design, implementation and maintenance.
• Monitor the performance of estates activities by contractors.
• Ensure safe and efficient internal accessibility.
• Urgently inform Management of any external interference with the University’s Land demarcation.
• Ensuring proper, adequate installation and maintenance of Fire Extinguishers and other emergency response equipment.
• Create, prepare or requisition graphic and narrative reports on land use data, including land area maps overlaid with geographic variables such as population density.
• Budget preparation for establishments and activities within the university.
• Maintenance work for the staff quarters, pools etc.
• Any other duties assigned
